Made this for Sander in the beginning of 2012. Black pen on a small piece of pine. The middle of the wing is where a small branch used to be.

Got some new supplies which included a new hardback Moleskine. Sturdier paper for the fucking win! This means I can draw on both sides without it bleeding through like it did in my old sketch Moleskine. I also got some Faber-Castell pitt artist pens and a six piece selection of Micron pens. All from the awesome gift-certificate I got from my mum as a birthday present. Sometimes I wonder if I love buying artist supplies more than using them. It's phenomenal.
Here's my first go at it. Another one of them I-have-no-idea-what-Im-going-to-draw-so-this-happened moments. I guess I found the motif where all artists take a dip now and again, the pool. (I think I got that from Stephen Kings "Liseys Story", he was refering to authors - but they are artists to.)

Last graphic print update! This last one is a quicky I did on the damaged backside of the Graphic Thiefling copper plate. I had no idea what I was going to do so I just stared at it for a while and followed some of the damages and nuances in the copper with my eye. What I saw was a girl, lying in front of bushes, with a big white afro. The horns, dress and trees was just an addition to what was already there.
Graphic Thiefling
As I wrote in my previous post, we tried out different techniques in graphic classes. Second technique is called Drypoint. We carved the image with a hard pointed "needle" on copper plates. It's the opposite of Relief printing, meaning the things you carve out will be printed. As if you were drawing with a pen.
This time I came up with a motif without looking through my old sketch books. It's the Thiefling that I also drew later in my Moleskine and showed here.
This time there was more trial printings than with the Relief printing, and I thought it a lot more trickier than the former to. So of course I made a gif with some of the process prints, 'cause we all love animation.

Wolfwood
Last school year on Basis we had graphic classes, which were all to awesome and greatly enjoyable. First thing we tried, which Ive done once before in grade school, was carving in Linoleum. The technique is called Relief print. Means you carve out the spaces that are meant to be white (or rather: leave out the stuff you want black).
After trying out a bunch of different motifs I picked my wolfman, making his first appearance here. The second time was this graphic print and thirdly when I was painting with ink for an exhibition, he's here to. Means I'll probably see more of him in the future.
Here's the first and second/final print. I type second cause I meant to add more but never finished it.
