Last school year on Basis we had graphic classes, which were all to awesome and greatly enjoyable. First thing we tried, which Ive done once before in grade school, was carving in Linoleum. The technique is called Relief print. Means you carve out the spaces that are meant to be white (or rather: leave out the stuff you want black).
After trying out a bunch of different motifs I picked my wolfman, making his first appearance here. The second time was this graphic print and thirdly when I was painting with ink for an exhibition, he's here to. Means I'll probably see more of him in the future.
Here's the first and second/final print. I type second cause I meant to add more but never finished it.

I think this was the third still life I did. And being the first after two one-coloured still lifes that we started the autumn term with, this was an enjoyable break. The brown silky fabric was a toll though, and the apples was damned tricky getting right. Done in about 9 hours (3 lessons).
All the photographs Ive taken of the oil paintings don't do justice to the colours. Oils are so darned vibrant.

We talked about copyright and shizzle in class. We were to take pictures & redraw them in a new atmosphere, make them into our own. I pickedFrancisco de Goyas 'Castres', Petrus Paulus Rubens 'Helena Fourment' & Picassos 'Il Gatto' and combined the three.

I made scribbles on top of my watercolor test blotches. One turned out to be a cool bird.
A series of 6 art cards measuring about 8x11,5 cm, done on greyish hard cardboard. The scanner did none of the colors any justice whatsoever. Most of the grey is silver & the yellow shimmery stuff is gold. Watercolor & colored ink mix. They'll be up on Etsy soonish.
Started at the subway a couple of days ago. I think he needs a color, Im just not sure which one yet.
A little done each day for 5 days. Only pleased with the outfit, that I kind of want for myself.
Our first assignment in Graphic Design/Illustration was to illustrate an ABC book.
We got a few texts from author Lennart Hellsings classic ‘’Krakel Spektakel ABC’’-book and picked two of them to work with. The imaginary book measured 170x220 mm and we were to include the text, the letter and an illustration. The texts I chose was R & U.

We had about 3 weeks to do it. The ideas sort of splurted out during first class. Hellsings texts were all wonderful. The painting got done the last 3 hours off the day before the assignment was due. And the text-graphics I did in 3 minutes when I was dead tired. Ulla was planned to be a heck of a lot more scarier than she is. Also there's golds in there that the scanner wont pick up. There’s a lot that I would’ve done differently, but for a first Im somewhat pleased.
Another quick sketch at the subway. The quote says "Got the thumbs up from an old man stranger today.". Which is what happened to me when I was sitting in the train looking out at the people at a station. That was right before I grabbed my moleskine and started drawing. This took me about 20 min.

The capercaillie is from a cover from a swedish environmental protection paper cover. When I sketched out the girl I had Kati in mind, so this is for you luff.
